There is a magical feeling in simply putting one foot in front of the other and having the freedom to decide which otherwise inaccessible landscape you want to explore. Put on your backpack and hike on Québec's 6,000 km (3,725 mi.) of trails that are accessible to everyone. Take a break and enjoy the incredible views that extend as far as the eye can see. Breathe in the aroma of the evergreens that surround you.
Regional parks, national parks, wildlife reserves as well as many private networks offer a wide variety of trails and a wealth of landscapes. With a little attentiveness and luck, you can share a few treasures moments with splendid animals as they move about their natural habitats - bird, deer, moose, black bear and caribou. Your forest stay will have a plenty of other surprises in store too, so keep a sharp lookout!
