Ice climbing in Montmorency Fall Park
Internationally renown, Montmorency Fall Park offers one of the most beautiful ice falls in the east of America. The exceptional conditions are always at the "rendezvous" from the first days of January until mid-March. At only 10 minutes from Québec City down town and an easy 5 minutes walk access on a flat terrain, its South East face is protected from the wind and its height is 83 metres. The via ferrata on ice is a serurised circuit on an iron wire! This new winter activity will allow you to discover, in complete security, the different ice formations that makes an ice palace! With its 83 meters (30 meters higher than Niagara falls!!!) the Montmorency falls produce a huge ice formation: le pain de sucre. Enjoy winter on a via ferrata on ice in one of the greatest winter site: the Parc de la Chute Montmorency.
